Coventry School Foundation has set up a new hardship fund for those families who, as a result of the Covid pandemic, find themselves in extreme financial hardship. We have tried to minimise the bureaucracy around the administration of this fund whilst ensuring that due diligence is carried out so that we can be sure that these very limited funds are being used by those who need them most.
At this time, we are expecting children to return to school after half term and so any assistance given will be based on the fees for the first half of term.
We are already allowing many families to spread their payment across the academic year to assist with cash flow issues and in many cases this is enough. However, we do appreciate that this pandemic has had a far more serious impact on some parents and have therefore reintroduced the Declaration Form which enables parents to claim a discount of up to 30% of the half term’s fee. In order to demonstrate eligibility for this assistance we ask that parents provide bank statements to verify the reduction in income due to the pandemic.

We do, however, appreciate that for some families this will not be enough and a greater level of assistance may be required. For discounts of up to 50% of the half term fee it is necessary to complete a more comprehensive application form as discounts of this amount require a higher level of scrutiny. The application form can be found here.

If you are in serious financial difficulties and believe that a discount of 50% will not be enough to assist you then please speak to your Headteacher in the first instance who may be able to provide assistance through our usual support bursary route.
Forms should be returned to the hardship email address email@example.com or posted to Coventry School Foundation, 15 Queens Road, Coventry, CV1 3EG if preferred.
